0.71 EMR 700K+ HOURS / ZERO INJURIES 17M+ SQ FT ERECTED ALL 50 STATES
01What does Alpha Labor actually do — what is the scope?
We deploy self-performing field crews for pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) erection, insulated metal panel (IMP) installation, standing-seam and single-ply roofing systems, wall panel systems, and structural steel erection. Our crews show up with the experience, tools, and PPE to start producing on day one. We are not a staffing agency that sends bodies — every foreman and every hand has been vetted for PEMB/IMP work specifically.
02Where do you work? Are you really licensed in all 50 states?
Yes. We carry the license, registration, and workers' compensation coverage required to legally put crews on the ground in every U.S. state, including the four monopolistic workers' comp states — Ohio, North Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming — where most national subs simply cannot operate. About 60% of our work is on hyperscale data center campuses, which are concentrated in specific geographies, but we mobilize anywhere a building is going up.
03What is your safety record?
Our EMR is 0.71. We have logged more than 700,000 manhours with zero recordable injuries across 17M+ sq ft of erected PEMB and IMP. Every foreman runs OSHA-compliant daily JHAs and pre-task plans. We bring our own fall protection, rigging, and PPE — we do not show up empty-handed and borrow the GC's gear.
04Are you E-Verify compliant and OCIP/CCIP eligible?
Every employee is E-Verified at hire — no exceptions. We carry general liability and workers' compensation on our own policies, and we routinely enroll in owner- and contractor-controlled insurance programs (OCIP/CCIP) on hyperscaler and large commercial projects. We provide COIs, W-9s, and prequalification packets within hours, not days.
05How fast can you mobilize a crew?
For a 4- to 15-person supplemental crew, we can typically have boots on site within 72 hours anywhere in the continental U.S. Larger deployments — 50 to 300 hands for a data center campus — require a planning window, but we have turned around full hyperscale mobilizations in under two weeks when the schedule demanded it. Travel, per diem, and lodging are handled on our side.
06What size crews can you field?
Our smallest deployment is a 4-person supplemental crew backfilling a GC or a PEMB erector who is short-handed. Our largest active deployment is a 300-person workforce on a multi-building hyperscale data center campus. We scale between those two extremes on the same job as the schedule moves — ramp up for dry-in, ramp down for punch.
07Do you actually have data center experience, or is that marketing?
Roughly 60% of our revenue comes from hyperscale data center work — IMP envelopes, roof systems, and PEMB structures for the largest cloud and colo operators building in North America. Our foremen know the tolerances these buildings demand, the inspection cadence, and the difference between a commercial envelope and a Tier-rated data center envelope. References available under NDA.
08How is your vetting different from a generalist labor agency?
Generalist agencies send warm bodies and hope they stick. We only hire tradespeople with documented PEMB, IMP, or roofing experience, and every hire goes through a skills screen plus a reference check with prior foremen. Our retention is high because our guys are paid as tradesmen, not as day laborers. The result: the crew that shows up Monday is the same crew that finishes the building.
09How do you handle work authorization and documentation?
Every worker is a W-2 employee of Alpha Labor Co. — no 1099s, no undocumented subcontracting, no "I-9 later." We run E-Verify at hire, keep clean I-9 files, and we are routinely audited by GC compliance teams and owner reps on hyperscale projects. If a jobsite requires badging, background checks, or drug screens, we handle it before mobilization.
10What insurance do you carry?
Commercial general liability, workers' compensation in all 50 states (including the monopolistic states), auto, and umbrella coverage at limits that satisfy hyperscaler and top-tier GC requirements. We provide sample COIs on request and can have a project-specific certificate issued to the obligee within the business day.
