The West Valley build-out
Metro Phoenix is one of the largest data-center markets in the West, and much of the newest capacity is landing in the West Valley — El Mirage, Goodyear, Glendale and out toward Buckeye — where land and power can support multi-building campuses. The East Valley, around Chandler and Mesa, has its own established cluster. Our El Mirage building was one piece of the West Valley build-out.
Working the heat
Phoenix summers regularly pass 110 degrees, and the monsoon season brings dust storms and lightning from mid-June through September. Plan early starts, shade, water breaks and a heat-illness plan the crew follows — our El Mirage job started in the late-summer heat and ran into winter.
Owner programs and E-Verify
Hyperscale campuses commonly run under an OCIP or CCIP, with enrollment, orientation and badging before a hand touches steel. Our El Mirage crew worked inside the owner’s program for all 17 weeks. Arizona requires every employer to use E-Verify, and Alpha verifies every hire in every state; Alpha stays the W-2 employer of record while the foreman-led crew works your scope under your direction.
Arizona runs its own state occupational-safety plan, ADOSH, and its workers' comp is written by private insurers — on an OCIP job the owner's program usually carries it.

Getting a crew to Phoenix
