PEMB crews from our Kansas City base.
Kansas City is where Alpha Labor's crews are based, so a metro job skips the long haul. Recent work on the Kansas side includes a 13-week addition in Spring Hill and an 11-week building project in Olathe, each run by a foreman-led crew of six — more than 5,500 crew hours between them.

One metro, two states
The Kansas City metro straddles the state line, and the rules change when you cross it. Missouri has a state prevailing-wage law for public works; Kansas does not, though federally funded work on either side falls under Davis-Bacon. Payroll taxes and workers' comp follow the state where the work happens. Alpha is licensed and bonded in all 50 states, so a crew can cross State Line Road without a paperwork change on your end.
The KC building market
Johnson County keeps adding industrial and commercial buildings along I-35 and K-10. North of the river, the Northland has drawn large data-center campuses, and the metro's central location has made it a distribution hub with warehouse space on both sides of the line. Alpha's recent metro jobs have been on the Kansas side, in Olathe and Spring Hill.
What a Kansas City base means
Alpha's crews travel from Kansas City to jobs across the country — Des Moines and Omaha are about three hours up the road, Atlanta and Pittsburgh 12 to 13. A metro job is the short trip: no multi-day drive and no travel days eating into your start date. The same crews that run the long hauls are the ones a few exits away.
Getting a crew to Kansas City
Alpha's crews are based in Kansas City, so a metro job is the short trip. A foreman-led crew of 4 to 15 can be on site within 24 hours of the go-ahead; full hyperscale mobilizations take about two weeks.

Foreman-led crews
Crews arrive with their own foreman and work your erection plan under your direction — sized up or down as the schedule moves.
