Orlando's building engines

Orlando builds on three engines: tourism and entertainment, a large aerospace, defense and simulation-training industry, and the warehouses and distribution space that serve one of Florida's fastest-growing metros along I-4. Each brings its own site rules — badging and escorts at defense sites, tight work windows around guests at entertainment properties, and fast schedules on speculative warehouses.

The industrial and distribution space concentrates along I-4 and the Florida Turnpike — southwest Orange County, Kissimmee and Osceola County, and north into Seminole County around Sanford and Lake Mary — while the Space Coast, about an hour east, adds launch-industry and aerospace buildings of its own.

Florida conditions

Central Florida builds year-round, but summer brings daily lightning and hurricane season covers the summer and fall. Metal buildings are designed to Florida Building Code wind loads, so the fastener schedules and panel attachments on the drawings carry real weight. Our 2026 Orlando job ran from spring into early summer with a crew that peaked at 13.

Wage and hiring rules
